I am no professional, I don’t do this for money, I do it because I love it. Photography is probably the only interest that has stayed constant throughout my adult life, while most other things have come and gone, this has always remained. My father is to thank for this, he was a professional photographer for many years and inspired me to spend all my savings… I meant, inspired me to create images of my own.
I work in a pretty intense, numbers driven industry that has very little opportunities for creativity, so picking up a camera and a handful of lenses and wandering around a city or new undiscovered place is heaven to me. It allows me a little escape in a world that seems to be chasing it’s tail.
For me, photography is all about being inspired by what you shoot, what you shoot with, and by what you create. I think a lot of people can get carried away with chasing the perceived best ‘image quality’, super fast autofocus that very few of us really need or the next lens that is very slightly sharper in the corner than the last one… I know I have done this at times too.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy what you see, if not, tell me what you think I could have done better, any feedback is always welcome.
